My name is Katie Cronin and I am married and I have two children as well as two dogs named Kismet and Cooper. My son, Connor, is twenty nine years old and my daughter, Emma, is twenty five. I enjoy reading, traveling, and spending time outdoors. I have a California teaching credential, ninety postgraduate units in the field of education, along with thirty three years of teaching experience. This year as Learning Support Coordinator I will be working to support the needs of all students at St. Felicitas and I'm excited to continue my role as Vice Principal to assist Sr. Faustina. My belief in each child’s ability to learn is supported by differentiated instructional strategies. I collaborate closely with teachers and parents to establish individualized plans for identified students with special needs. I believe that all children can succeed and I feel it is important to provide a learning environment that is positive, friendly , and supportive. It is with excitement and joy that I begin this new school year and I feel very blessed to be part of the St. Felicitas community.
The Resource ProgramThe Resource Program at St. Felicitas is a Preschool through Eighth grade program that is devised to assist all learners to succeed in school. Differentiated instruction is encouraged in all classrooms to help students learn at his/her level. The overall goal is to provide support to teachers, parents, and students with strategies and interventions to make sure students are successful in the classroom and at home. We believe in short, "treating students equally means sometimes you have to treat them differently. Fairness means giving children equal access to a quality education---not insisting that everybody must do everything exactly the same way."
